This morning was reminded of this scripture:
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Then a picture came to mind.  A Bible laying open on the desk, the gospels gathered into a hand that lifted them straight up from the rest of the pages.  This is how narrow the path is!  When you then separate out just the words spoken by Yeshua (Jesus), that path becomes even more narrow.

We tend to be all over the full Bible not paying attention to the words Yeshua (Jesus) spoke to us and doing them.  He in fact told us what books to stay in and who to listen to.  People tend to just read through His words and don't take the time to ponder each thing Yeshua (Jesus) says and take it to heart.  Then it is not just the pondering, but the doing as instructed.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Other scriptures were brought up too in typing this, why? Because Yeshua's (Jesus') way is easy and light if you do and pray asking for help when you read His words.
Matthew 22:37-40 Yeshua (Jesus) said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

A powerful statement, but as humans, it is even hard to grasp the meaning of the word “love” let alone with all your heart, soul and mind.  It is times like this we need to stop and pray, ask the Lord for His help to do this.  Being led also to ask for a heart like Yeshua (Jesus).

We are entering into a time we need to hear Jesus' words come to us before doing anything.  His words will come to you if they are in you.  It will be His words that come to you when talking to an individual should He want you to do something.  If you don't hear His words don't do anything.  You will then be walking in the Spirit with Yeshua (Jesus) directing your path if you do as directed by Yeshua (Jesus).  This is putting our trust in Yeshua (Jesus) and His words.

Then a memory of new birth and walk with the Lord.  Yes with most people they think of their baptism.  Our family came out of a church and started a new walk.  We had all been baptized as babies yet here was Daddy explaining to the family that we were just dedicated to the Lord with this.  Dad and Mom were visiting our family as we were over 2000 miles away from each other.

I kinda laugh thinking about the memory for this reason:  Dad got out a ministry card to show it to us that we didn't even know he had, even though we did know he did some teaching.  Their purpose in showing up was to baptize our family.  He then explained baptism to us mainly the repentance of sin and the Holy Spirit.  Daddy with Mom helping baptized our whole family August 15, 1988 it is written in the Bible and got it out this morning.  Dad and Mom passed away many years ago.

After the baptism, Daddy then wrote in the Bible, have not seen this for years as everyone uses a computer Bible for over 20 years but got it out this morning.  The inscription says this:

To our and My precious gift from God
May HIS word ever be with you
in your mind and in your Spirit
and as your newness in the LORD
manifests itself by HIS Spirit
in revelation, knowledge, and discernment
you will realize the
“Peace which passes all understanding”
and you will experience the
“Joy unspeakable and full of Glory”
Are promises to you from your Father God
as well as all the other 7,000 promises of the Bible
All of this because of John 14:26
All of our love
Dad and Mom

Then being instructed by Daddy to start the walk, he said: start in the gospels reading them and to start in the book of John.  This was done and when I got to John 14:26 there in the Bible was a * and my name written there that Daddy had done.  Everyone should put a * at that verse and write their name there.  This scripture is the best baptism scripture anyone could have.  Take the time to do it in your Bible and start “The Way” with Yeshua (Jesus).

May the Lord Bless you All
